State Representative Candidate Bill Beck Goes To East Nashville To Connect With District 51 constituents
Afternoon showers did nothing to dampen the spirits of folks in East Nashville (EN) who came out to Drifters Restaurant on Tuesday, June 24, to meet a man who is working hard to get their votes. Bill Beck, Democratic candidate for State District 51, hosted his EN Kick-Off to both say hello to old friends and to make some new ones, and that is exactly what he did.
"I cannot thank you enough for the support you have given me already," said Beck. "This has been an amazing campaign, and it is just going to get better."
"What has been remarkable to me in talking with all of you tonight is everyone seems to revel in the history of this wonderful neighborhood. I have talked to folks who, like me, have lived in this area pretty much all of their lives, and I've spoken to a lot of people who have just moved into East Nashville. The overriding sentiment is this: We have a treasure, a jewel of a community, a fantastic place in which to raise families, to work and to play, and it is no wonder that Forbes voted East Nashville one of the top ten places in Nashville in which to do business. As your State Representative, it will be my honor to make sure that all of Tennessee and the rest of the country get to know how wonderful East Nashville truly is."
"I will use my skills as a lawyer to reach across the aisles and bring people together, so that we can move East Nashville forward and upward."
